Important notes:

NOVICE MEMBERSHIP rates listed above are offered only to new members with no curling experience.
EXPERIENCED curlers, or TRANSFER members who move to Chicago from another club, should refer to the ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP rates listed below.
  • Learn2Curl session fee will be deducted from Membership Dues if the new member joins within two weeks after the session. Pay initial dues in full - the Learn2Curl session fee will be verified and then appear as a credit on your first monthly statement from the club. This future deduction will not be reflected during the registration process.
  • Choosing any of the options that contain the word "Couple" will simply indicate to the Club Secretary that you would like to be linked for billing and other purposes.  Couples still establish two individual memberships and should pay their initial dues separately.
  • Those interested in joining after our season has begun (January to April) are invited to select the Half Season or Partial Season rates above and pay the reduced, pro-rated rate. This may be done at any time but should be completed by mid-December to participate in January leagues.  Half Season members may begin using the facilities and participating in member activities anytime after December 8th.
  • Half Season (65%) or Partial Season (35%) pro-rated discounts can be applied to Annual rates as well - If you are an experienced curler or transferring to Chicago from another club please contact secretary@chicagocurlingclub.org

Definition of Dues Categories

(all categories are gender neutral)

Novice Member:  A person with no previous curling experience.  1) Novices will enjoy discounted dues for their first 2 full seasons in the club with the same benefits as Unlimited members.  2) For new members joining Half Season or Partial Season, the following fall season will be considered the start of their Novice 1st Year.  3) At the beginning of a Novice's 3rd season, they become an Annual Member, and must choose to curl either Annual Unlimited or Annual Limited.

Note: it is only after the two Novice seasons that a Limited membership can be chosen.

Regular Equity Member:  Equity Members hold an equity ownership share in the Chicago Curling Club, voting rights, and are eligible to be an officer or board member of the club.
An Annual Member becomes an Equity Member after Equity membership has been offered by the CCC Board and the Equity Fee has been paid in full.  Generally, the initial offer to become an Equity Member comes after a new member's first full year as an Annual Member.  For Novice curlers that is after their third full year, for experienced curlers that is after their first full year.

A one-time $750 EQUITY FEE applies to members accepting the offer of Regular Equity Membership after their first full year as an Annual members: three full years for novices, one full year for experienced/transfer members.  Other fees and assessments may be billed at the discretion of the CCC Board.  In all cases, refer to the CCC bylaws for specifics.
